Volumetric rotary pumps of the NMR type are universal pumping pumps for liquid and gaseous media. The design principle of the pumps is energetically reversible, therefore, when the medium is fed into the working chamber of the pump, it works as an engine. It is most advisable to use NMR on liquid media, i.e. as a hydraulic pump or a hydraulic motor.
